Everyone needs a hero

Heroes are essential to our lives, something the ancient Greeks first recognized and reflected in their mythology and literature. These larger-than-life figures and their exploits remain a source of inspiration—and entice us to learn more about Greek antiquity. “Gods, Myths, and Mortals”, an exhibition created by the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, guides viewers on an interactive journey through the world of ancient Greece. Climb a twelve-foot-high Trojan Horse, explore a Cyclops cave, and sing karaoke to a Siren’s song as you experience aspects of ancient Greek life through Homer’s epic poems The Iliad and The Odyssey.
